Mountain Grass Unit rolls into Antone’s Saturday at 8 pm with fast, melodic picking and a young band’s appetite for stretching forms. The Alabama outfit builds on bluegrass roots with breakneck instrumentals, tight three-part harmonies, and arrangements that nod to jamgrass without losing clarity. Solos snap, rhythms pop, and the tunes keep turning corners. It is modern string-band energy with a traditional backbone.
