Social Distortion plugs in at Moody Amphitheater with the tough, tuneful strain of SoCal punk they helped define. Mike Ness still barks with grit and heart, sliding from barroom blues to revved-up rockabilly without softening the edges. The set tends to honor the lineage while keeping the tempos mean, and the hard-luck choruses carry clean under open sky. A 7 pm start keeps it tight.
